In the S-Bahn’s third seat from the left, headphones breed in secret. They shed their wires overnight, become spirals of escaped magenta, turquoise fugitives fleeing the ear canal.
What we thought was silence was actually orange overlapping purple— the sound of not-listening has its own architecture.
Each lost earbud takes with it a passenger’s face, dissolved into curves. The compartment remembers everything we tried to unhear.

Im dritten Sitz von links in der S-Bahn züchten Kopfhörer im Geheimen. Sie häuten ihre Kabel über Nacht, werden zu Spiralen aus entflohener Magenta, türkise Flüchtlinge, die dem Gehörgang entkommen.
Was wir für Stille hielten, war eigentlich Orange, das Lila überlappt— das Nicht-Hören hat seine eigene Architektur.
Jeder verlorene Ohrstöpsel nimmt ein Passagiergesicht mit, aufgelöst in Kurven. Das Abteil erinnert sich an alles, was wir zu überhören versuchten.
