The pig dissolved into spectrum— each curve a wavelength of grunt, magenta snout spiraling through turquoise morning, lime-green tail whipping into orange noon.
“I am refracted,” said the pig to geometry, “my oink is prism now.”
The Color Commissioner arrived with his briefcase of grays, demanded the pig return to pink, but the pig had learned: borders are merely suggestions made by the color-blind.
In the swirl-center, where all hues meet, the pig becomes kaleidoscope, turning, turning— an infinite oink in every direction at once.

Das Schwein löste sich ins Spektrum auf— jede Kurve eine Wellenlänge des Grunzens, magentafarbene Schnauze spiralend durch türkisen Morgen, limonengrüner Schwanz peitschend in orangenen Mittag.
“Ich bin gebrochen,” sagte das Schwein zur Geometrie, “mein Oink ist Prisma jetzt.”
Der Farbkommissar kam mit seinem Aktenkoffer voller Grautöne, verlangte, das Schwein solle zu Rosa zurück, aber das Schwein hatte gelernt: Grenzen sind bloß Vorschläge der Farbenblinden.
Im Wirbel-Zentrum, wo alle Farbtöne sich treffen, wird das Schwein zum Kaleidoskop, drehend, drehend— ein unendliches Oink in alle Richtungen zugleich.
